Today was the first day of camp or as some people call it OPC Hillary outdoors centre. I had packed all my stuff and I was ready to go so I put my bag in the car and I went to school.

When I was at school I talked a bit then the teachers talked about camp and then we did some more and then we hoped into the cars. I my car I had Oliver, Joseph, Jarden, Kerry and Me no one wanted to be in the middle so I went in with a bit of fuss but it turned out the middle was AWESOME. We listened to some songs and talked about stuff then we had a nap and listen to some more music and then we stopped at Levin. At Levin there was an adventure playground were we played and there was a lot of cool things like a mouse house, flying fox, exercise equipment and an octopus. Then we got n are cars and carried on.

The next stop was the national army museum were we did a tour and that was cool because we got to see all the medals and see all guns and the statues and I now know that a double Victoria cross is worth 11 million dollars because there were only three in the world and world war one had a massive effect on the horse population because only one horse came back and everyone who joined the army would have to bring their own horse. At the front of the museum they had tanks big tanks and that was fun because we got to go on the end of it and hang of but the tour was over so we got back in the car and headed off.

When we got to the house it was not what I expected but it would do. Then this lady came in she was called “Robyn”  she was the cook she said some rules then we went to are rooms I was with all the boys and there were 12 of us which was kind of good. We looked around then people started to claim stuff so I put down the top bunk mattresses and claimed the corner one so I wouldn’t role over some one.  Then we had dinner and it was nice. Then we had a power point shown by Reece he was one of the leaders but not my leader. He talked about what he would maybe be doing and he also had some rules about no sexual activity and no drugs or smoking and stuff like that. After that we went to bed and we slept but we stayed up a bit because of some of us making silly noises but we eventually got to sleep.
